The paintings are primarily arranged by artist according to their dates as follows: Tawaraya Sōtatsu and his lineage, Ogata Kōrin and his lineage, Ogata Kenzan, Watanabe Shikō, Sakai Hōitsu, Suzuki Kiitsu, Ikeda Koson, and Yamamoto Kōitsu. Paintings for which the biographical details of the artist are unclear and those that have not been signed are grouped with works that are the closest in style. 宗達派School of: Tawaraya Sōtatsu江戸時代 17世紀掛幅二幅 紙本墨画［印章］各幅に「伊年」（朱文円印）［その他］箱書に「左 水禽 右 竹雀 宗達 二幅」の各115.4×49.3㎝⑴11.7222⑵11.7223, William Sturgis Bigelow Collection墨書がある。［印章］「對⾭軒」（朱文円印）［所見］断簡の一部を掛幅装としたもの。［印章］「對青軒」（朱文大円印）［その他］紙継ぎは四紙。上から8.5㎝、30.3㎝、30.4㎝、26.3㎝。［所見］ボストン美術館のカードには“Tametomo guard-ing the place gate.
