The works are divided into the following groups: Maruyama school, Shijō school, and the branch Maruyama-Shijō artists—the Jōryū school, Kishi school, Mori school, Hara school, Mochizuki school, and the Suzuki school. Another group is devoted to paintings by artists active in Osaka and one to works by documented artists whose affiliation is not known. Finally, there is one group of works representing ensemble productions and a last consisting of paintings by artists who have been undocumented.円山応挙（1733〜95）Maruyama Ōkyo江戸時代 安永3年（1774）掛幅一幅 絹本著色118.3×48.8㎝［落款］「安永甲午孟冬写／応舉」［印章］「応舉之印」（白文方印）「仲選」（白文方印）［その他］蓋表「錺兜 応挙」［所見］兜は中国風である。兜立の下に岩を描くが、いかにも応挙らしい岩と色であり、これは応挙作でOKと考えたい。尚、餝兜図は他にも散見されるが、中国風の兜［落款］⑴「安永丁酉初秋写／應舉」⑵「安永丁酉晩夏写［印章］各幅に「応挙之印」（白文方印）「仲選」（白文方［その他］蓋表「龍虎図 應舉画」［所見］両幅とも縦に紙継あり。若干不思議なり。応挙［落款］「安永丙申季夏写／應舉」［印章］「應舉」（朱文方印）「仲選」（白文方印）は珍しい。応挙は、いずれかより依頼を受けたのだろう。優品。円山応挙Maruyama Ōkyo江戸時代 安永6年（1777）掛幅二幅 紙本墨画／應舉」印）の優品として可なるべし。『ボストン美術館所蔵日本絵画名品展』（東京国立博物館、京都国立博物館、1983年）に出品。伝円山応挙Formerly attributed to: Maruyama Ōkyo江戸時代後期 19世紀巻子一巻 紙本墨画淡彩・著色各134.7×89.4㎝⑴11.8498⑵11.8499, William Sturgis Bigelow Collection315円山派Maruyama SchoolDragon and TigerLandscape with Pavilions; Three Visits to Zhuge Liang （Shokatsu Kōmei）11.8497, William Sturgis Bigelow Collection33.0×513.0㎝11.9459, William Sturgis Bigelow Collection［所見］応挙の弟子の中にこのように細かい描写を得意XIII 円山四条派 Maruyama-Shijō School
