□色を呈する場合もある。鍍 □□金□□地金色は多様で、銅亜鉛合金に属する真□□□鍮施され、新たな情報がもたらされている。これらは金属製品のみならず、この分野で言えば、漆工品における金属粉や金属泥の材質、あるいは下地の分析まで幅広く応用されるようになってきた。定量分析においても非破壊で精度の高い分析が可能となっている。製作環境を考察するうえで極めて重要な調査方法ということができる。またX線CTスキャンも急速に普及されつつあり、これによって漆工品の器胎の構造が明瞭になり、金工品の鋳造過程などの考察にも有益な情報を提供している。 当初の調査はこうした科学的な分析を一切踏まえず、旧来的な方法によって行われている。合金の同定も目視によっている。ひとくちに銅錫合金の代表である「青銅」と言っても、その成分組成によっての地金の判別は目視ではさらに困難になる。 今回のデータは、そのような旧来的なものであるので、そのことを念頭に入れて頂きたい。（金メッキ）があればそとほぼ同本章には工芸品のうち、仏教にかかわる遺品、いわゆる「仏具」を収録した。配列はおおむね用途別とした。 像 （1〜7番） 荘厳具 （8〜28番） 供養具 （29〜47番） 僧具 （48〜56番） 密教法具 （57〜153番） 梵音具 （154〜164番） 収納具（箱・合子） （165〜167番） 堂内具 （168〜172番）ただし、たとえば密教法具の中には「大壇具」のように、複数の器物をまとめて一具とするものが存在した可能性があるが、ボストン美術館ではすでにこれらが別個の作品として収蔵・整理されているため、本章では「五種鈴」を除いてあえて復元して構成しなおすことはしていない。図版は1件1図を原則とするが、都合により掲げてないものがある。また「燈籠」や「六器」のように同形・同型のものが一対あるいは複数で一具となる作品は同一番号とし、そのうちの一つを図版に掲げた。This section consists of objects that are found in temple halls and used during the performance of Buddhist rituals.
