This section includes Buddhist priests’ robes(kesa; Nos. 1−64), priests’ stoles(ōhi; Nos. 65−100), and cords for securing a priest’s robe (kesa himo; Nos. 101, 102).The robes are organized first by the number of fabric columns (jō) from which they are constructed―five, seven, or nine―and then by shape―rectangular or trapezoidal. They are then subdivided by the type of cloth from which they were made as follows: kinran, shuchin, nishiki, karaori, aya, and sha. Finally the robes are ordered chronologicalIy.The stoles are first arranged into two groups―those without straps and those with. They are then organized by fabric type and date, in the same manner as described above for the robes.82[凡例][Explanatory Notes]
